Torak is back.

Well, I'm one of the people that's called out Torak a few times on civil (as I'm sure he will confirm), mainly to ensure that if he is scamming, nobody new to Nod is likely to be taken in by him. In fact, when he asked me why I was on the 'non-owed but angry and slating him' list, I explained why, and he entirely understood my reasons.


However, I'm also willing to let his actions now speak for him, so will wait and watch with interest

Torak:

As one of the older (age-wise) players of Nod, I've been around the block a few thousand times. A word to the wise - shut up. As Dana said above, many people didn't know about your past; you keep cramming it down people's throats. Shut up already. Square things with people and get on about playing the game. Quit reminding everyone of your past offenses with promises that you're going to make everything right. Perhaps you will, perhaps you won't.

The worst thing you have done lately is create an account with the name "Torak" and advertise here and in civil that you are the old Torakironclaw (or however it was spelled). You should have created an account name something totally different, raised the cash or the game gold to square things with folks, done so silently, and then, if you really felt the need, gone public about it.

All you have done pursing this method is continuously call people's attention to why they don't trust you.

And I happen to agree with PK above. While I never lent you anything in game, I did enjoy your clever ads for resources, and was not aware that you were taking advantage of people.

Just for the record wanted to say that Torak payed what he owed me. And that I do appreciate the fact that he is trying to straighten things out whether he is doing it in "wise" manner or not.

I have to say that i do find it quite ironic that those flaming Torak and unable to see him as anything other than a scammer regardless of what Torak does weren't even scammed by him.
As far as I can see the behavior is hardly rational. If Torak is a scammer, and "once a scammer, always a scammer" than the fact that he is repaying his debt, especially since he is doing so publicly seems to belie the claim. Kinda seems to contradict what a scammer would do.
Also, I don't see how the whole screaming 'Torak is a scammer' in civil would prevent someone from creating an account with completely unrelated name and scamming others, which is what a real scammer would do instead of paying his debt.

ya see its thoughts like this that get you scammed in the first place, your talking about trusting a scammer, so tbh i think u shud save him the hassle of all this and just give him ur account.
