With the new system it seems like you would be limited in the amount of distance you can travel between towns, as the farthest towns from you would be subject to the level restriction.

yes in the system i'm sugesting you would get xp with or without AT.
as far as skipping towns, i never tested that out so i don't know if there is a bonus to exp in that regard.
not sure i follow you with limitations on distance but the restiction would limit you to towns that meet your level so you'd want to visit those one.
the main point is it takes longer to to travel in none grey areas where one would have to travel threw to get to the towns that would render you exp.

With this new system, you wouldn't get any xp for doing that, and the most xp you could get would be stopping at Stronhad or Burdinia, depending on the level restriction.

ok but in this system you could go from castile TO Maalin skipping the other towns and get xp, so if there is a bonus you could still get it skipping towns.
there are one way trips granting xp going from a grey area town to another one (grated being higher) so you can still go from a high lvl town to a lower level town and back but only get exp for making the trip to the town not restricted by your lvl.
I'm reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaallllly tired and gettin g cranky so i'll just say this, if you haven't gotten it by now just re-read the entire thread. as i hope i've explained it all and as complex as it might seem its not that bad. as you can get xp without AT and it restricts players to higher level areas so you can't just bounce from castle to whatever the **** t2 is called ,stronnhold? to get some easy adventure exp.
the only reason I like this idea is because i'm always running around when my at is gone then i head back altimus for for the end of the day, i would be nice if i got some xp apon arival.
oh and good day! I'm going to take a nap.

k, so let me see if i get this.
Troy you are saying this, please correct me if im wrong.
1. jeff already made it so you can get exp by travelling to a diff town once you've run out of AT, just as long as you've entered the town you're currently in before you ran out of AT.
2. you are suggesting modifying this system so people who are completely grey in one area can't just plod to the next town in minutes and get adventuring exp, thereby explotting the new change jeff made.
so ie. im grey on travellers way, so it would only make sense that i wouldnt get exp travelling from castille to stronhad as its trivial, and you do not get exp from trivial stuff.
am i right so far?
3. davina made a point about skipping towns and travelling from maalin to castille (although it seems silly to skip towns as you would get more exp in the long run from stopping at every town.) in any case, Im sure jeff can work something out whereas if you skip the next town closest to where you currently are (say you're at atlimus and you skip stronhad to go to castille) then you should get 1/2 exp, as the TW is more than likely grey for you.
this would make things a bit more fair with your new proposal . for those confused im suggesting that troys idea is a good idea, but needs to be modified so as if you make long journeys 2+ towns away and skip middle towns, you should get 1/2 the exp you would normally (if the trip was trivial for you), but no exp at all for just plodding from trivial town to trivial town.

1 yes this would prevent that exploit.
2 yes.
3. if whatever its set at now for skipping towns doesn';t have to change or can be modified to your suggestion. i like it.
