Would be fun, but would only exacerbate the issue being complained about which is the inability to play at a specific time. If your team can't find time to make it during a specific week, it won't be any easier to make time for a specific hour of a specific day. And there would be no way to have it not benefit one time zone over another.

yea that is very true. maybe someday, we can get a tournament style system, even if it's just for a day and has nothing to do w/arena!

The thing is it can replace the current rush week, and perhaps be extended to two weeks or more.. Alittle harder to organize but it would be a lot more fair. Could go like you have 3-5 days to play your matches out to avoid being docked with a forfeit.. It really wouldn't take that much longer and you don't have to worry about losing your spot to a team that you do
Beat atleast 4/7 times because they can magically play 12-18 hours a week when you struggle to sneak in 3..

There is another problem with a tournament...if you know who you face you only have to set up your team for facing one opponent. If you face a magic dps team you will re stat, re pouch and even potion differently to facing a melee/bm based team. In proper arena you have to be able to change mid fight or be already set up to cope with various fight scenarios. There is only one fair solution: You must all move to England immediately!

Actually, seeing as one of the reasons you do so well is the ability to cope with lots of different scenarios I would imagine you might not appreciate suddenly facing teams adjusted specifically to face you. I agree it would be really fun, but I don't think it is any more fair than the current setup. Either way...it's not a viable option for glitch so if we want another way to end arena and have the best and most hard working teams get their deserved finish spot, the idea will need some revising.

It doesn't really effect us because the majority of the teams who can actually compete with us are already built to defend specifically against us.. And it's still a toss up most of the time, I can assure you me playing on a crap laptop has been the cause of some losses..

The bigger problem I see with it is that certain teams can't fight certain teams.. (Thorin + LoP, Cyress + Ralen etc etc) But that will also sort itself out because they will clearly have one team they spend more time on..

He also never said it wasn't viable, he said it would just make the issue worse - which is clearly debatable. This rush season for example - has fallen during a holiday, IIRC the majority of rushes have. I have two children, and two big families to spend the holiday's with - which is very detrimental to my play time during rush specifically. But if you have 3 days to play 7 matches - it's not a problem.

Fact of the matter is, we were one of the only teams who actually started our teams from day 1.. and have been rather active up until the end of the season. Point is - I think that certain teams having 24-36 hour arena sprees is abit absurd but we've competed with it all season.. But fact of the matter is when you're running with very limited time - losing out because one team can spend 6 times the amount time for ONE WEEK isn't really a fair exchange for actually playing the entire season out.

I could really careless to be honest just wish it were alittle more fair in terms of who you can and cannot beat - not how much time you can spend beating up noobs.

Due to my college schedule my team has not been able to participate as much as we need to in rush week to avoid decay. I understand why rush week is here, but I think tempers need to be reevaluated for individual rating, not team rating. I am getting screwed so hard because this is an exam week,and next week is finals. At this rate of decay I will lose 2 potential tempers levels. Months of work is gone and my degree of progression with regards to tempers is now so small that this entire arena season will basically be a waste.

Not much needs to be changed the way I see it. If you are clearly the best team, you will end out on top, even if you spree during the last month or so. However, that said, I have noticed this season's matches are extremely close in terms of the competition for champion spot. Drastic changes may only aggravate some players while placating others. I think most of us can agree on shorter seasons for one; I myself would suggest eliminating the 50 percent bonus to rating gains during the last week while keeping the decay. This would first, help prevent dodging, and second, lower the amount of 24 hour sprees at the last minute, hence encouraging early season participation. With a shorter season anyway, we should see more players motivated to start early and play often. Whether or not team effort and team power comes before sheer power is up for the community to decide. For the latter, occasional fights without the rating bonus will still raise rating. For the former, a slightly weaker team may beat out a stronger team by putting in more hours throughout the season.

I agree MA, as glitch said, different people will benefit during different arena rushes. But I don;t like the idea of somebody( me this season) potentially being set back 4 months worth of tempers due to decay. If tempers were based off of individual rating, teams may be more inclined to queue during the rough hours of the rush. And if somebody ca't participate in rush,they will not get the team based rewards, but they may still be able to improve their individual build.

Excuse me? I never said you dodged, and there is a multitude of reasons of alot of our loses this season. Not going into it, I could really careless - unfortunately paying my bills and spending time wit my family outweighs a title on a game and some pixelated items.

Not going to go into depth how you used friends to sustain rating, or how Thorin plays Gstuarts yet you managed to fight his team during rush.. Or how he has done similar every season thus far.. (He also used Ratspike's team to gain rating the season with Paul/Arach etc etc)

But if you really want to be cocky, how about when I get laid off we go best of 7.. Cy should be ready by then - and I'll be on an internet connection actually worth playing on.. versus hotel wifi.

Can play the system all you want, eventually its going to bite you in the ass.

I do wonder how many times your team was tying in arena with alts this season tho? There is a huge advantage to a top2 and top5 team fighting in arena at the same time then accidentally getting a fight with your alt! OOPSIE then you purposely tying with your teams so that no one sees it on the top lists... I know i have seen your teams fight each other and tied several times. Nothing about our team winning was shaddy, we did everything legit, you just like to bring back ratspike all the time which everyone knows that was complete BS and that is the ONLY reason why you won THAT season anyway. Im sorry that even cheating you lost kid... maybe try again next season.
