On a similar note to your idea how about something like (numbers can be tweaked obv to glitches liking) 10% increase to rating gains and 10% decrease to points lost from a loss per month that a team is together, capping at 50%. It may be too much maybe 5% per month capping at 25% would be better. Anything really that makes teams want to work together from the start rather than just temp all season then rush at the end.

To be honest, the problem doesn't lie within' how much you gain.. it lies within' how much you lose...
The 1 rating grind is fine, a bonus to it would be nice.. however it's really not a bad thing that you lose so much either.. because it makes win-trading pretty hard to do..

And the more I think about it the more I begin to dislike changing the system all together.. I support this change so long as you are only allowed to que in arena for a maximum of 10 hours a day.

Support, we really need something different.
Nore your idea could work, only have one problem with it. What is to stop teams from just making their team at the start then waiting till rush to actually queue?

Ok i think all of you are missing the point that i siad a major over hual is needed to get more people that stiop in the middle ranks to compete .
IF every team strived to get as high as they could the rating gaps would be closer would be less 1 point gains .
The reason there is such a huge gap is that the people that know they cant get into top 10 just stop after they get tokens for tempers they want .
The point that you guys complain about being at the top and gettign there early and then dont Q late when there is a chance for you to lose lots of rating to a team that is better then you is just further point that you dont want comeptetive fights . You wantto get there however you can and ride it out and hope you stay .
Hopefully glitch will loook at how many teams just rode out the end of areana by doing the minimum to hold thier spots .
Since he says he wants a competetive system in the post about banning people recently .
This is far from people being competeitve .

the team with the least amount of fights in the top 10 is Ladygagya's and even they have nearly 500. sounds like a lot of whining about nothing by people who think they should be ranked higher than they are without any real justification.

I will say it again the problem lies not within the top the problem lies that in the top 15-50.
These people have no reason to push hard .
Thus making for lots of grey fights for the top 10 teams .
Thus making the top 10 teams not fight each other . Since they cant regain their losses easily .
If you had the top 10-25 teams fighting over their spots their would be many more higher rated teams . Most of them just realize they cant get into top 10 get tokens/tempers stop for the season and try agian next time till reach the same point .

I think honestly the biggest problem is that you don't need rating anymore really... you just need tokens for end of season... This makes people not try to get rating to get tempers...

Great point tsurguy think that is a huge part of the problem now . You no longer have to push for high rating to get your tempers just gather tokens and do it after .
So now how do you push for all those that aimed for 6x temper rating before to now compete?

i posted idea of new titles in arena for next season (few threads below this one) maybe it can be combined with differentt rewards mentioned here
but what ever glitch decide to do (change or not) pls do one thing, reset arena titles after each season, only latest season titles should be carried to next season

More titles woould be good too , But how many people are goign fight over a middle ranked title?
Since the removal of needing rating for tempers, Think he is going to really rethink the middle ground of arena , why should they try harder, Why should they do more then arena for arena bonus and gather tokens?

Arena is designed to play of the best of the best against each other. regardless if a team is formed in rush week, or at the beginning of the season. Top teams should be able to adapt to most situations. If a top team is beaten by a lower ranked team, then change something. Top teams have to be versatile and able to adapt

My team has adapted to a few other teams to keep our spot. We didn't just grind up against easy teams and now "hold our spot." My point i s we reached our spot before rush week came, so we are going to do everything to keep it, even if it is just arenaing the 4 matches per day. If a rush team is going to come along and complain about it, then perhaps you should have not waited until the last week where there is a rating bonus to grind to the top. Instead, you should work the whole season like the others and perhaps there would not be so much of a spread in points. We fought for our spot the whole season, now it is time to keep it.
