The legendary pet (the original or father/mother of the lineage) would have to be "set free" so it could find a mate in the wild. After setting the pet free, you are left with a tracking device for the collar you've incidentally put on the pet. This tracking device only gives a warmer/colder signal, and the signal is not very strong.... so say like you move 25 squares or something, then it gives a reading, so the search could take some time....

When you finally track this pet down, you must battle it, and you know this will be tough for this is after all, a legendary beast. lets just put it this way.... a group of three is definately needed if you wish to last more than 15 seconds, much less "defeat it". When the pet's HP is gone, you've scared it away from it's nest and in the loot you recieve 1 egg, akin to a TP.

As for ingrediants to "nurture" and hatch the egg... well... I'm not really sure... obviously 100 heroic essences are needed... then maybe depending on the critter, either fish/veg/berries/prey/rodents???.. i dunno... be creative i guess....

why not just have a tool like pet run or something, to make the pet it takes t30 prey and t30 plants, as well as resins maybe? the tp can be a consumable diet plan or something, so you have a master, make a tp in the usual way, then craft the pet with t30 prey and t30 plants and 8mill or so in resins

All these suggestions seem pretty cool to me.

Roguetiger's idea sounds most fun but it does sound like you have to dismantle a pet and only get the same pet back after lots of battling. Nighthawk's idea sounds pretty cool though being skill based allows booners a big advantage. Chloe's idea seems the most logical to me as allows resins to control cost and feedin plants/prey seems to make sense. If they had to be fed 1 a day for a week it would add up sensibly and make it feel like you we're actually feeding your pet.

It would be interesting if you have to feed your "baby pet" in order to become adult x tiers of resource.

For example high dmg aggressive pets would use 1500 or so prey points when 1 point =1 tier (so tier 1 prey gives 1 pt while tier 20 gives 20pts.etc) T30 could be use to create it but feeding should be based on any tiers - this way people can use unwanted lower tiers.

Different pets would use different resource to feed. It would make low-mid lvl resources to sell and making resourcing more fun. So far most people not collecting anything less than rare.

I believe possibilities in it are endless - and it could be lots of fun.

I don't agree with fighting for your pet since breeding should be more like peaceful task so i support skill and feeding options.

Note that some people don't like pvp and they enjoy collecting stuff , improving skills , makes stuff etc.

Since a new pet has just come out that not only gives the healing bonus of having priest first class along with a mitigation and hp regen bonus on top, having a non craftable item that can so drastically improve 1 toon seems crazy. A priest angel with max heal skills and class enhancement skills will now heal less than a guardian/tactican that had 2 of these pets. Even if the cost of crafting was 50 mil at least there would be something to aim for. This kind of bonus would have been much better put on a staff that had 1-9 dmg but was still lvl 100, it makes no sense to have it on a pet anyway. Rant rant rage rage rage...etc etc. Pls pls make the breeding system a priority!!!

Please consider it Team Glitchless have mercy on those that cant play 12 hours and day, but love Nodiatis no less.

Maybe have a new tool called a hatchery or incibator and you can raise only one animal/bug at a time.
Make it take atless 2 weeks RL time to actually have a usable pet.

Also if you want to add a hinderance add a expensive item to the game (lets call it star orb)that adds the bonuses to a pet.
Without this said item ur newly hatched pet would only have combat stat but no bonuses.

To keep it honest bonuses cannot be altered or swtich. When you use a star orb it automaticly adds the approprate bonus for that pet.

As with all lg items - they cannot be crafted until a master is made - meaning dismantling an item. It should be no different for pets IMO - a pet would need to be "sacrificed" in the same way an item is dismantled.
A DNA strand / master or whatever would result and then the necessary skills would be needed to produce the pet. I see no difference in pet / armour / bows etc....

you don't need 2 crushers to make a crusher - why should you need 2 pets?
cost of manufacture could be controlled by the resins / resources required to make a pet just as all other items are.

could be used to restore some balance tot he obliquely skewed resource market imo....

i hate to say it as im not a booner but - boon is applicable to all other crafting and resource skills so why should it not be applicable to this too.....

making ppl walk to draak is also grossly unfair - there are several low level toons out there that can craft some high lvl shiz (reroll affects combat skills only iirc) so a walk to draak means capped toons only could craft...

ill shut up nao.......

Don't forget to include the incubator for the eggs so that they would hatch. That could very easily be the gold sink needed to make this a feasible idea.

dont care how much its gonna cost to craft...just need to know its gonna be possible. is pointless being a healer class now when the best healer is currently a jewler/pally and there is no way to match their heals without having at least one pet with heal bonus.

same for bms that dont have companion/cuddlebugs even with max skills cant compete with non bms that do have them. having the only method being to get lucky on a legendary beast drop isnt something u can particularly work towards. in fact since the legendary beast drops massively buff a random toon every once in a while all most of the hard working players see is someone else previously weaker than them bypassing them by getting 2 months worth of gold in 1 go.

rant rant rant etc etc...
