Regardless, I don't mind the odd question that's a little repetitive, as long as it's not in Noobish like: "How do u heal" spammed 5 times in a row.

If a question from a noob is intelligible, and took me a while to figure out, then I'll give them an answer. Other than that, a good little F.A.Q. would do wonders for not answering the most repetitive questions.
I agree, sometimes a genuine question that is hard to answer is acceptable. Asking for a group though, and I have done this before, over and over again just gets annoying, put up with it in your own way, just don't lash out at the person who's asking it. kindly take the person aside with a PM and tell them that what they're doing, ie spamming/flaming, is hurtful not helpful to them because nobody wants to be annoyed, and if the person responds back with a rude response make a PK your buddy and rip the little ****head a new one, or PK him yourself and that should shut them up.

Frankly, I think the newbies are intimidated by the fact that the loudest and most insulting players tend to be lvl 25+. Every time I offer help to one person, I get a couple of PMs from different people asking questions, so a help channel would be a great idea.

As far as chat etiquette goes, I find the frequent comments about vaginas and c*cksucking to be unimaginative and dull, but generally just exercise the ignore function when people get repetitive.

I'm just curious whether it is essential to turn the nonpaying players into paying accounts to keep Nodiatis successful and improving. Also, whether Jeff is marketing this to adults who can handle the various diatribes on politics, sexual crudity and snarking on newbies, or if he wants to attract a ton of teenagers.

It probably won't change how some people act, but a lot of parents wouldn't let their kids participate in a lot of the chats I've seen. Maybe the simplest solution would be to implement some parental controls, where a parent can 'lock out' chat except for an eventual help channel.

Simple facts are these:

1. Too many questions being spammed- I have already made a suggestion to alleviate this problem, and at this point seems to be the only thing that would help, even an FAQ wouldnt do a whole lot of good as most people dont want to run around a forum to find the answer for 1 question when there is a chat channel where a score of experienced players are talking. (Most new players, arrrrrreeeee....... NEW, they dont have an idea how hostile it is on that board and get a rude awakening on day one.)

2. Too many Jackas$- At this point there is no real solid way to relieve this issue, there are no in-game mods to silence these people. Its all dependant at this point to whether Jeff is online and paying attention, and considering this is one of 3 games he has (not to mention its new and being worked on daily) chat is the last thing hes checking out. There is an ignore option, but if you ignore everyone talking out of their as$, youll start talking to yourself.....

The only way I see a way to fix option 2 is this, a few key flammers need to be banned (not muted, REMOVED) and made examples of what happens when you dont follow the rules. The most often thing we see today is when someone asks about the rules, or someone says something is against the rules, the ones who cause problems laugh and say, "What rules?" THAT IS A PROBLEM. Why even have rules if they are only going to be enforced every once and a while?

Read the previous posts made by Valiumandritalin and remember this runs RAMPANT on the client. But he is not the only issue, there are too many to list here because, well lets face it, most people in the game are this way.

Either way, something needs to happen soon, because as it stands, this game is extremely hostile and Im guessing its losing players daily.

And you see this as non offensive how? And Id like to think most here are mature enough to know what it is you want them to suck (though in-game you tell alot of male players to first find and then suck your d*ck). Ever wonder why you do that? Maybe you should go to San Fransico where you could fit in....

there already is a filter in place, and you can toggle it. Leave it up to the parents to punish their kids for using foul language, most parents don't care anyhow

They may be mature enough to know what this part is but they're surely not mature enough to know that excessive language can hardly impress anyone. Well, they may impress some kids who have just learnt some words generally considered a taboo. That's quite typical...

Oh, look, I'm old enough to say "f*ck". Don't make me laugh.

There is no way. If they cant figure out the damn auto attack button, they should kill themselves.

Also, about kids and parents. Parents should keep their stupid impressionable kids off the internet anyways. Whats here is nothing compared to the stuff they would hear in school.
In short, keep your kid on a leash, no one wants them on the interwebs anyways.

LOL. A lot of the trash talk seems to devolve to that level. Ryuto, I get that you think this is a Major Problem for everyone playing Nod, but you might want to consider the point made (in all three...five? threads) and just make judicious use of your own ignore filters. IOW, there is no reason you have to deal with your 'list o' baddies' at all if you put them on ignore.

Well to be honest, when you have a game that openly welcomes 13 year olds, and then facilitate a place that allows racism and harassment you may see some parents become upset at the content. That is after all, illegal in the US to harass (verbally, and that includes the suck me comments, which could easily be considered propositioning) a child. Freedom of speech or not, when children are involved, some laws like freedom of speech dont truly apply. All I think is there needs to be something done, because as it is, the filter doesnt work well, and anyone can turn it of, its not exactly hidden. Not to mention can be avoided. The fact is we have no mods to enforce lude activities, and the only form of true sensorship is an email to the owner and when he gets it he comes over, looks at it, then mutes, provided they are even there. I see that as a fairly ineffective system correct? I know a mod would 'correct' the hostility that is running freely here.

*We could always make some go to GA when they lose their grip on reality*

GA= Gamers Annonymous [In case it needs explaining]

hey you don't have to play if you don't like it, I think Jeff would rather lose a couple of customers because they were little *****es and couldn't handle the abuse, than almost all the customers who leave because people like you gay it up to the fullest.

I may have been muted on the client, but Ill be back, simple fact is, I wont pay another dime until trash like the kind that is coming out of your mouth gets stopped. If you guys enjoy talking sexually harassing things to 13 year olds, its your business, but keep it PRIVATE. Earn a prison sentence outside the view of the public.

You do realize your saying you want to be able to make sexually offensive remarks to underage children without consequence right?

If thats true, may all your small children visit NeverNeverLand.

I for one would be extremely bored with this game if it were suddenly "child friendly".

I hate that child friendly garbage. Who cares about their stupid kids, learn to be a parent. Political correctness is also crap. I am not remotely interested in some stupid censored child's game. Thats the whole draw of this game is an older and (ideally) more intelligent audience.

I don't know how you became of topic, obviously deluded by your own fantasies, but it is up to the parents to control what their children do, Jeff has stated a warning to the parents of children that play this game, they take their innocence in their own hands. Besides most thirteen year olds wouldn't be as offended for the things we say, like you are right now, and if they start the argument that means they're old enough to hear a retaliation from a person older than they are whatever it may be, it is not a matter of pedophilia that is the cause of our retaliation(although you may want it to be). It is not our problem nor is it our perrogative to find out why you so anally retaliate with such stupidity, but let me take a stab at it anyways. You were molested by a relative or some other person like a family friend, that is obvious, and you feel like you have to save the children of Nodiatis from sexual predators, because in your mind you are trying to save young, little, defenseless ryuto from his own sexual predator. As to the profound stupidity, well blame your mother for dropping you on the head. Stop posting about your problems, nobody cares for your whining.
